Community Meeting Announcement!

There will be a special community meeting about the Tenley-Friendship Library on Monday, June 25.

Our elected officials, including Councilmember Mary Cheh, want to hear our thoughts about the future of the library, the idea of a public-private partnership, and the proposal by Roadside. We hope to see you there!

Ward 3 Vision supports:

• Serious consideration of Roadside's proposal and others like it by the community and our city leaders before our window of opportunity is lost.
• The idea of a mixed use development on this valuable and currently untaxed land so close to the Tenleytown Metro station.
• The idea of a public private partnership that could give us a better library facility on a guaranteed timeline while significantly contributing to our neighborhood.
• Imagining this corner to live up to its potential as the heart of Tenleytown -- the intersection of Wisconsin and Albemarle Streets.
