Update: Tenley Library Redevelopment
Proposal
We
are excited that the development company Roadside has come forward
with a proposal
to redevelop the library. Details of the proposal
will be presented to the community this Thursday, and we
strongly encourage you to attend. There is a short window of opportunity
for us to consider this and other possible proposals.

Tell
our city leaders what you envision for the library,
and encourage them to consider the Roadside proposal and others
like it. It's critical they know we support
redevelopment of the Tenley Library. If
you live in ANC
3E or ANC
3F, it is important you send them your thoughts as well.

Ward 3 Vision supports:
- Serious consideration
of Roadside's proposal and others like it by the community and our city leaders before
our window of opportunity is lost.
- The idea of a mixed use
development on this
valuable and currently untaxed land so close to the Tenleytown
Metro station.
- The idea of a public
private partnership that could give us a better library facility
on a guaranteed timeline and significantly contribute
to our neighborhood.
- Reimagining this corner to
live up to its potential as the heart of Tenleytown
-- the intersection of Wisconsin and Albemarle Streets.
